Team HandballAtlanta is one of the centers for the (vastly under-appreciate) sport of team handball in the US. As it so happened, the team I recently joint, the Condors, won the 2000 US National Team Handball Championships in Tampa, FL. If you have some experience playing handball and would like to come for a try-out at one of our regular practices, contact me. The Atlanta area features regular league play and a number of tournaments. For people new to the sport, I can recommend a PE course (PE186) on team handball that is offered regularly at Emory. Emory University is putting together a college team to play in the South-Eastern Team-Handball Conference (SETHC). Anybody associated with Emory (even faculty) is eligible to play. For more information, check Emory Handball official website on LearnLink, or contact me. Since Team Handball is a fairly "young" sport in the US, there is plenty of room for new talent to progress. I would be happy to put interested newcomers in contact with a team of their (age-)level. Especially in the youth development sector (male or female), Atlanta is the right place to be! An excellent (video-)tutorial on team handball can be found at ticket2sports.
