You are invited to view two of the solar system's most intriguing objects - Beautiful Venus and Beastly Jupiter. Please be warned that Jupiter, with its colorful cloud belts and bands, will try to convince you that the "beast" is as beautiful as any planet in the heavens.

Start in the Planetarium where you will see a live video feed direct from Emory's observatory. Then, go up to Emory's rooftop observation deck to view the gems of our night sky through our 24-inch reflector and other telescopes set up for your viewing pleasure.

Please note: Live viewing is weather dependent. Even the best telescopes cannot see through clouds. But members of the Physics Department will be in the Planetarium, rain or shine, to show you previously recorded images from the observatory and answer your astronomical questions.

This event is open to all members of the Emory community, family, friends and guests.
