As part of the Emory University Founder's Day celebration, you are cordially invited to check out our nearest neighbor, the beautiful moon, on the evening of February 6th. Just drop into the Emory planetarium any time between 7:00 and 9:30 PM for a dramatic, live video feed of the Moon direct from the Emory observatory. Then go up to Emory's rooftop observation deck to view the moon through our 24-inch reflector as well as other smaller telescopes set up for your viewing pleasure.
Please note: Live Moon viewing is weather dependent. Even the best telescopes cannot see through clouds. But members of the Physics Department will be on hand, rain or shine, to show you previously recorded images and to answer your astronomical questions.
