Simon Singh

Big Bang - the history of a paradigm shift

Simon Singh, author of "Fermat's Enigma" and "The Code Book", talks about his latest book, "Big Bang", a history of cosmology. Simon will recount how the Big Bang theory emerged and tell the story of the brilliant and eccentric scientists who fought against the establishment idea of an eternal and unchanging cosmos. More generally, Simon will discuss how he writes about complicated subjects for the general audience. The lecture is likely to include references to Led Zeppelin and the Teletubbies.
