Langoussis, Riddle, and Willamon

Under the Southern Cross

The night skies of the southern hemisphere hold arguably the finest treasures of the viewable universe. Atlanta amateur astronomers Alex Langoussis and David Riddle recently traveled to Africa to view those treasures under the dark, pristine skies of the Namib Desert. They will share their experiences and astronomical highlights of their 2-month stays. During their presentation they will join Richard Williamon in presenting the celestial treasures of the southern hemisphere sky using the Emory Zeiss planetarium.
