Required: | A recent installation of Java, no matter which operating system. |
Class: | Individually, once a week, by appointment. |
Grading: | Weekly Reading and Exercises (50%), Term Project (50%). |

Week 1: | Read Chaps. 1-2, do some exercises for practice. |
Week 2: | Read Chap. 3 (including Appendix!) and do Probs. 3.1, 3.9, and 3.14. |
Week 3: | Read Chap. 4 and do Probs. 4.1, 4.3, 4.5, 4.10, 4.15, and 4.16. |
Week 4: | Easy: Read Chap. 5 (5.10 not required) and do Probs. 5.1, 5.2, 5.4, and 5.6. Harder (start early!): Do Project 5.19, due in Week 5. (All initial conditions given in the problem are indeed correct as given!) |
