Laboratory's research is focused on the molecular mechanisms of transcriptional regulation. Thus we study the thermodynamics and kinetics of protein-induced conformational changes in DNA which are relevant to transcriptional regulation and the structure of these nucleo-protein assemblies. Weuse single molecule experimentation, in particular the tethered particle motion technique (TPM) with and without magnetic tweezers (MTs) together with more traditional biochemical and biomolecular techniques. We also develop instrumentation and computational analyses as we need.
