Hayk Harutyunyan receives Cottrell Scholar Award
Assistant Professor Hayk Harutyunyan has been selected as a recipient of a Cottrell Scholar Award. This prestigious award recognizes beginning faculty in the sciences, who excel in both teaching and research, toward their further development as teacher-scholars. Dr. Harutyunyan will use the $100,000 award to study ultrafast electron dynamics in metal-semiconductor nanosystems, and to build the optics and hard condensed matter portfolio in the department's course offerings.
