Emory Physics hosts Physics Live! 2016
On March 25th, as part of the Atlanta Science Festival, the Physics Department at Emory hosted Physics Live!, an open-house event geared towards K-12 students and public science enthusiasts. The event featured live demonstrations, planetarium shows, and tours of the research laboratories. Over 250 people enjoyed ice cream made with liquid nitrogen, making giant soap bubbles, levitating superconductors, glowing pickles, and more! This annual event represents part of the department's ongoing commitment to outreach and STEM education in Atlanta.
