Urazhdin Research 2014

Dr. Sergei Urazhdin and collaborators have proposed and demonstrated a new nanoscale magnetic device that combines spin torque nanocontacts with dipolar field-induced patterned magnetic nanowaveguides. Good spectral matching between the spin waves emitted by the nanocontacts with the waveguides results in efficient emission and directional propagation of spin waves, providing the first building block for spin torque-driven nanomagnonics.
