Welcome to our newest faculty member Dr. Connie Roth
We welcome our newest faculty member, Connie Roth, who joined our department in Fall 2007 as an assistant professor.
Connie received her B.Sc. in Physics at McMaster University (Ontario, Canada), and her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Polymer
Physics at the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada).
She also completed post-doctoral positions at Simon Fraser University (British-Columbia, Canada) and Northwestern
University (Chicago, IL).
Connie's research interests include the study of physical properties and dynamics of polymer molecules, glass transition, structural relaxation, and viscoelastic deformations. Designing of advanced materials, and tuning of material properties at the nanoscale through blends and composites. Understanding surface and interfacial interactions at the nanoscale in thin films, membranes, coatings, multilayer films, nanocomposites, nanostructured blends, and foams. How are the dynamics and physical properties of polymer molecules affected by interactions between different components within a system?
