Random Close Packing Algorithm Confined RCP Ellipsoidal Packing
While many studies have focused on the random packing of disks in 2D and spheres in 3D, not nearly as much attention has been focused on understanding how the boundaries of a container can alter the packing near the walls. We have developed an algorithm to generate packings in confined systems. Below are some images of different confined packings we can generate. This work has been submitted to PRE.
