About Me

From July 2002 until may 2005 I had worked in Professor Anthony Dinsmore's Soft Condensed Matter and Self Assembling Materials Lab at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. My research interests included fluid dynamics, self-assembling materials, and their applications to practical problems. You can read about some of what I worked on with Tony in the "Cylinders" and "Emulsions" sections.

I am now a third year graduate student in the Department of Physics at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. I have been working with Professor Eric Weeks on studying colloidal phase behavior under confinement. Our work was recently published in PRL.

In my time outside of the lab I enjoy cycling, running, traveling, playing the guitar, reading about science, technology, and history.
