Students who do not have AP credit for Calclus I should see the director of undergraduate studies for advising on an alternate schedule

**  Physics 116 Introductory Astronomy, with Lab is a descriptive course intended for non- science majors. Although it does not count toward the major, it is recommended for Physics/Astronomy BS students with no background in astronomical observation.

Important:
B.S. Physics/Astronomy majors must complete 1 PHYSICS ELECTIVE at their own convenience. The elective could be a senior Honors thesis or any physics course at or above the 200-level.

All physics courses are offered only once a year—either in the Fall or Spring semester—with these exceptions: Physics 115 and 116 are offered both Fall and Spring semesters. Physics 311S and 312S are offered in the Spring in alternate years.
